Thank you for the links. I am looking for something special for my blogs, although I have in mind another blog and maybe that's the one I'll start with WP. I saw a couple of templates at a friend's blog and I like them very much. Thanks again!

at first I though wordpress just had boring templates that looked pretty ugly but after a little research I found alot of great free and paid templates.

i agree 100% AND if you have a little experience with html or customizing sites yourself you can easily add a ton more with wordpress. it really is a user friendly platform with almost endless customizing options.

Thanks for the advice on templates. When you google free wordpress templates there are so many options. Some of those websites are a real waste of time. This thread has many useful links.

Are there certain templates one should avoid?

Since there are so many available, there have to be some that are better than others.
Are there certain sites with templates that just aren't worth the time to explore?

I guess it all depends on whatever you are looking for to put on your website. Not everything is for everybody, and sometimes you'll need more special features than others.
