View Full Version : Does WP support urls
I have been trying to post a clickbank url on my website, but cloak it over so that only the words "click here" shows, but it's not working on WP. It works on other forums though.

Is your blog hosted on Wordpress or are you self hosting? There are quite a few scripts and urls that will not function unless you are self hosting your blog.

in a normal self hosted wordpress you just need to type "click here", mark the text then click the hyperlink icon in the toolbar. Then paste your clickbank url into the box that asks for the link
It's a free blog so I guess that means it's hosted by WordPress, does that mean I won't be able to add my urls?

you can try, then check how the link looks on the front end. If its similar with what you put into the admin end then I guess it works. I dont see a reason why it shouldnt..

Are you using a template that offers widgets? If so, you can try placing your link in a text widget, which will show up in your blog's margin, as lon as it isn't javascript.

One of my friends has a WP blogger and it has plenty of links in there. I don't know how she does it, but the links work, and it is hosted by WP.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I don't think so because the same url works when I use then in a signature on another forum.

I suggest that you try doing it in different ways and see what is missing or change things everytime around. Just try to take notes so you know exactly where or what is changing and missing... basically, trial and error approach!
